Our Essentials to Creating Beautiful Tablescapes
When it comes to styling, there is nothing more I enjoy than creating a beautiful table setting. I think this stems from my love of hosting family and friends. When friends stay over for the weekend, they can expect a full hotel experience, with rolled up towels on their beds and all the toiletries they may need in the guest bathroom. This also means, I can relax, enjoy their company and be present during the weekend. Having friends over for dinner is no different, I want to make them feel special and it's the little things that we all appreciate now. Maybe it's because I have not long moved into my own home, the novelty hasn't worn off yet. But anyway, I love getting creative and experimenting when it comes to designing a tablescape.
You might have seen on Instagram, that I recently created an Al Fresco Tablescape for a dinner party with our family, I thought it would be handy to highlight what key pieces instantly elevated it.
Distressed Bottle Vase
I always start off with choosing my centrepiece and work my way out from that. This occasion I used our bottle vase to create height so the space felt balanced, as the table was under a pergola. To add a little drama, I paired the vase with the Blush Eucalyptus Spray. I adore the blush tones running through the tips of the stems.
Silver Dollar Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is an essential and extremely versatile floral must have for any home. If you can't already tell I have been obsessed with the silver dollar since we first stocked I just had to sneak a few stems out for myself. I'm now always finding myself reaching for it to elevate a space I'm styling. The delicate nature of this stem, means it is perfect to rest along the centre of the table but still keeping the body to it.
Crown Candle Holders
This came as a functional decision as well as adding texture to the table. Despite the outdoor lighting, I thought a light glow from the table would create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. I love them so much, so why not add them?
Wicker Tray Table
I know a lot of our lovely customers have used our Wicker Tray Tables as a drinks station so I brought my own tray table outside so anything that couldn't fit on the table, like food dishes or wine bottles, could be stored here. So not only did the tray table looked beautiful, it came in really handy too.
White Drinks Tray
There is no dinner party without a drinks table. This has made life a little easier when having people over, no traipsing in and out with drinks, they all fitted on the tray. The two handles made it much more comfortable to transport guests their drinks. Spillages on the tray are no hassle either, a wipe down and everything is good.
Glass Beaded Charger
Oh how I love the Glass Beaded Charger. They most definitely add a touch of elegance to a table setting. For al fresco dining, greenery and glass make the best combination.
Napkin Tray with Heart
Once again, a practical yet pretty touch to a tablescape. Perfect for alfresco dining to keep napkins from blowing away when the wind picks up during those cooler summer evenings. I keep my napkin tray on the table all year round and its easy to bring outside when we chose to go al fresco.
Salt and Pepper Mills
Add a little spice to the table! Our Salt and Pepper Mill sets will always be a key feature of our tablescapes. Despite high quality finish, they are a bargain!
